Comments Editing and Deleting

The ability to edit and delete your ThreadWave Comments is governed by Jira's general comment permissions settings, which apply to both Native Comments and ThreadWave Comments.

Users can edit and delete their comments using the edit and delete icons, subject to their permissions.

Convert Comment as Reply

Easily convert existing comments into reply comments to maintain context and streamline discussions. This feature allows you to reorganize comments by associating them with a specific parent comment, ensuring clarity and structure in your conversations.

The Convert as Reply option is only visible for your own comments.

  1. Go to the Jira Issue View screen

  2. Click the ‘ThreadWave Comments’ tab in the ‘Activity’ section

  3. Click the ‘Get ID’ link button under the comment you want to reply to, and the parent ID will be copied.

  4. Click the ‘Convert as Reply’ link button on the comment you want to convert, paste the copied ID into the text area, and then click the ‘Save’ button.
